REQUSYP-AX Syrup

REQUSYP-AX Syrup is a triple-action respiratory formulation designed to provide fast and effective relief from cough associated with bronchospasm, chest congestion, and excessive mucus. It combines a bronchodilator, mucolytic/expectorant, and soothing agent to ensure comprehensive management of productive and spasmodic cough.

Terbutaline Sulphate acts as a bronchodilator, relaxing bronchial smooth muscles and improving airflow. Ambroxol Hydrochloride reduces mucus viscosity and enhances mucociliary clearance. Guaiphenesin facilitates expectoration by loosening thick secretions, while Menthol provides a soothing effect and helps relieve throat irritation.

This synergistic combination makes REQUSYP-AX Syrup effective in respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, asthma-associated cough, COPD, and other lower respiratory tract infections with mucus and wheezing.

Composition (Each 5 ml contains):

• Terbutaline Sulphate IP – 1.25 mg

• Ambroxol Hydrochloride IP – 15 mg

• Guaiphenesin IP – 50 mg

• Menthol IP – 1 mg

• Flavoured syrupy base – q.s.

• Colour: Ponceau 4R

Mechanism of Action:

• Terbutaline Sulphate: Relieves bronchospasm by relaxing airway smooth muscles

• Ambroxol HCl: Breaks down thick mucus and improves mucociliary clearance

• Guaiphenesin: Promotes productive cough by loosening bronchial secretions

• Menthol: Soothes irritated airways and provides a cooling sensation

Dosage:
