Wizonex™ 1g Injection

Wizonex™ 1g Injection is a broad-spectrum, third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic containing Ceftriaxone Sodium, used for the treatment of a wide range of serious bacterial infections. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms and is commonly prescribed in hospital and clinical settings.

Ceftriaxone acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death of susceptible bacteria. Its long half-life allows once-daily dosing in many indications, ensuring better patient compliance and consistent therapeutic levels.

Wizonex™ is intended for intramuscular (I.M.) or intravenous (I.V.) use only and is supplied as a sterile powder for reconstitution.

Mechanism of Action:

Ceftriaxone inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), resulting in bactericidal activity against susceptible organisms.

• Respiratory tract infections

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Septicemia

• Bone and joint infections

• Intra-abdominal infections

• Typhoid fever

• Meningitis (as prescribed)

• Gonorrhea and other severe bacterial infections

Directions for Use:

• Reconstitute the contents of the vial with Sterile Water for Injection I.P.

• For I.M. or I.V. use only

• The reconstituted solution should be used immediately after preparation.

• Do not freeze.

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C

• Do not allow to freeze

• Keep out of reach of children
